Roger Cross

Roger Cross is the kind of actor I quietly root for. He rarely gets top billing, yet the moment he appears a scene gains weight and credibility. I find it telling that he began as a stunt performer; that physical literacy informs every controlled gesture he makes on screen. His Curtis Manning on 24 and his lead detective work on Coroner, which earned him a Canadian Screen Award nomination, show a performer who carried supporting roles so well he was eventually trusted to anchor a series. To me he embodies the dependable craftsman whose presence makes the whole production feel sturdier.
