Roxy Jezel

What interests me about Jezel is the arc of agency beneath the labels. London-raised and standing just 152 cm, she earned an XRCO Award in 2005, then pivoted into the world of professional domination and now runs a site under her own name. That progression, from being a performer others cast to becoming the proprietor of her own brand, reads to me as a deliberate reclaiming of control. It is a divisive field, no question, but I reserve a measure of respect for anyone who turns a short, scrutinized career into self-directed enterprise. There is a spine here worth noting.
