Ryuhei Arita

Rugby players exist in this whole other dimension where putting your body on the line isn't courage, it's just Tuesday, and Ryuhei Arita strikes me as exactly that kind of person. He came up through Higashi Fukuoka, where he captained the side to a national final, then spent over a decade in the top flight with Coca-Cola, Kobelco and Toyota before retiring in 2025. Some guys just show up to the pitch, do the work, and let the scoreboard do the talking. I genuinely respect that kind of quiet commitment. It takes a lot to build a career like that in a sport that will absolutely wreck your body if you let it.
