Salvatore Ganacci

Salvatore Ganacci — real name Emir Kobilić — is the kind of DJ who makes you forget you're at an EDM festival and wonder if you've accidentally walked into a performance art piece. Born in Bosnia, raised in Sweden, performing under a very Italian-sounding name he seemingly invented out of thin air: the guy is built on delightful contradictions. His 2018 and 2019 Tomorrowland sets didn't just go viral — they went genuinely surreal, with prop motorcycles and deeply committed absurdist theater that had nothing to do with standard DJ culture. The music slaps, don't get me wrong, but the spectacle is the real product here, and I respect that he leans all the way in. He's proof that electronic music still has room for someone who refuses to just stand behind a laptop looking cool.
