My Take
Sarah Schleper genuinely impresses me. Four Winter Olympics for the United States would be a career most skiers would frame and retire on, but she kept going, representing Mexico in 2018, 2022, and 2026. Switching national allegiance to keep competing into her forties is, to me, proof that she loves the act of skiing far more than the medals. A career that began in 1995 and is still running three decades later is almost unheard of in alpine racing. I find that pure, stubborn devotion to a sport deeply admirable.
