Sepp Straka

What fascinates me about Sepp Straka is the improbability of his path. Austria is not a country that mass-produces PGA Tour winners, yet here is a Vienna-born kid who moved to Georgia, ground his way through American college golf, and turned himself into a four-time Tour champion. I admire players who win without flash, and Straka strikes me as exactly that type: a big, steady ball-striker who beats you with patience rather than highlight reels. He has quietly become the standard-bearer for an entire golfing nation, and I suspect his legacy in Austria will be measured less in trophies than in the juniors who now believe the Tour is reachable.
