Srinidhi Shetty

Srinidhi Shetty embodies a rare double achievement: a Miss Supranational crown followed by a genuine acting breakthrough. Plenty of pageant winners fade into endorsements, but she parlayed her win into the female lead of the KGF duology, one of Indian cinema's biggest commercial phenomena, and earned a best actress award for the sequel. What impresses me is that she did not coast on beauty; she went looking for a role with weight and held her own opposite a blockbuster machine. Coming from Mangaluru to the top of two industries, she strikes me as someone still ascending. I expect her best work is ahead.
