Sumanth

Sumanth occupies an interesting place in Telugu cinema that I find genuinely admirable. As the eldest grandson of the legendary Akkineni Nageswara Rao, he could have coasted on lineage, but he studied at Columbia College Chicago and went on to become a partner in Annapurna Studios, planting himself on both sides of the camera. That combination of pedigree and business sense is rare. I respect performers who invest in the wider ecosystem of their industry rather than just their own filmography, and Sumanth strikes me as someone whose love of cinema runs deeper than the spotlight.
