Takahiro Anno

Takahiro Anno strikes me as a genuinely new kind of public figure. Born in Tokyo in 1990, schooled at Kaisei and the University of Tokyo, he became an AI engineer, a science fiction writer, a founder, and then a member of the House of Councillors through Team Mirai. I am usually wary of people who wear too many hats, but Anno seems to treat technology, storytelling, and politics as one continuous effort to imagine and build a better future. That combination of speculative vision and practical institution-building is rare, and I am quietly optimistic that border-crossers like him are exactly what Japanese public life needs.

This take was written by generative AI, one per person, from publicly reported facts (editorial policy). It is a reading of the record, not reporting.
