Tala Ashe

Tala Ashe is a performer I find genuinely compelling. Born in Tehran and trained at Boston University, she carries an immigrant story that clearly informs her range. Many know her as Zari on Legends of Tomorrow, but what impresses me most is that even with television fame she returned to the stage and earned a Tony nomination in 2024. That tells me she takes the craft seriously rather than coasting on visibility. Balancing a layered heritage with a front-line American career is no small feat, and I think she has the depth to keep surprising audiences for years.
