My Take

Tanner Bibee is one of those guys who makes you do a double-take when you first see his stuff on the mound — a Southern California kid out of Mission Viejo who went from relative prospect obscurity to making a legitimate MLB splash with the Cleveland Guardians in 2023. His debut season was genuinely impressive: mixing a sharp slider with solid command, he showed way more poise than most rookies have any right to show. What I find compelling about Bibee is that he doesn't try to overpower hitters with pure velocity — he pitches with intelligence, which tends to age a lot better in this league. Still only in his mid-twenties, he's exactly the kind of young arm a rebuilding-but-competing team like Cleveland loves to build around. Keep an eye on this one.
