Tanuja

Tanuja represents the kind of longevity I deeply respect. Born into the Mukherjee-Samarth dynasty, sister to Nutan, she could have coasted on lineage, yet she built her own reputation, winning the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress in 1970 and earning a Lifetime Achievement honor in 2014. That gap of over four decades is the real story: not a single award but a sustained presence across generations of Hindi cinema. With her daughters carrying the craft forward, she embodies a living thread of Indian film history. I value endurance and authenticity over flash, and Tanuja has both in abundance.
