My Take
Twista is one of those artists I respect purely on craft. Holding a Guinness record in 1992 as the fastest English-speaking rapper, 598 syllables in 55 seconds, isn't a gimmick to me, it's a discipline most people can't fake. That chopper style takes breath control and clarity that would embarrass a lot of slower MCs. What I appreciate is that Chicago produced him, a city that doesn't always get its hip-hop due, and he turned a technical specialty into a lasting identity. Speed alone fades fast, but he layered songwriting and production around it, which is why he stuck around when novelty acts didn't.

He is best known for his chopper style of rapping and for once holding the title of fastest English-speaking rapper in the world according to Guinness World Records in 1992, being able to pronounce 598 syllables in 55 seconds.
