Um Ki-joon

Um Ki-joon belongs to a breed of Korean performer I deeply respect: the stage-forged actor. His resume reads like a tour of musical theatre's heavyweight roles, from Werther to The Count of Monte Cristo, and that pedigree shows in the control he carries on screen. I am drawn to actors who earn their presence in front of a live audience before chasing fame elsewhere, because the discipline never washes out. He also has an Instagram account. He is the sort of seasoned talent I hope keeps returning to the spotlight for years.
