Wayne Brady

Wayne Brady's improvisational genius is what wins me over completely. Hand him a prompt and he'll build a song, a sketch, and a dance routine on the spot, which is real, undeniable talent. Born in Columbus, Georgia, he moves between singing, hosting, and stage work without ever feeling like a jack-of-all-trades, and that Emmy proves the substance behind the showmanship. He'll steal a scene on Whose Line, then turn around and speak honestly about his own struggles. Beneath the sunny grin sits a deep humanity, and I could watch his stage presence for a very long time.
