Wes Chatham

Wes Chatham won me over the moment he became Amos Burton on The Expanse, a part that demands quiet menace and buried decency in equal measure, and he nailed both. He has spent his career as the dependable presence in films like The Help and the Hunger Games finales, the actor who anchors a scene rather than steals it. That kind of steady, blue-collar craft is exactly what I value most in performers. With his podcast and that low, unhurried voice, I suspect his most interesting work as a storyteller is still ahead of him, and I'll be watching.
