Yoo Teo

Teo Yoo is one of those actors who quietly sneaks up on you and then absolutely wrecks you. Born in Cologne to a Korean family, he's got this rare cross-cultural fluency that lets him disappear into roles in Russian, Korean, English — whatever the story demands. His turn as Viktor Tsoi in Leto was the moment I realized he was something special: he captured the magnetism of a rock legend without ever tipping into imitation. And then Past Lives happened, and suddenly the whole world caught on. That film asked him to hold enormous longing and restraint in the same breath, and he made it look effortless. The Blue Dragon Best New Actor win in 2021 felt overdue. I genuinely can't wait to see where he goes next.
