My Take

Adam Smith is the sort of full-back I have a lot of time for. Captaining Bournemouth in the Premier League says everything about the trust he earned over years of consistent, unglamorous work down the flank. He isn't a player who fills highlight reels, but to me that reliability is exactly what good defenders are made of, and the England under-21 caps show the talent was always there. At 174cm he's not imposing, yet he reads the game well. I respect one-club loyalty and leadership like his far more than constant moves chasing bigger names.
