My Take
Alec Sulkin is one of those writers whose name you don't know but whose jokes you've laughed at for years. A Connecticut kid through Weston High and Connecticut College, he channeled a remarkably sharp, irreverent voice into long runs on Family Guy and The Cleveland Show, wearing the hats of writer, producer and voice actor at once. What I respect is the discipline of the comedy room: the person quietly engineering the punchlines while actors take the bows. Writers who can land that kind of cutting wit are usually cool-headed and quick, and I have real affection for these behind-the-scenes leads.
