My Take

Honestly, I always filed Marcia under "singer" in my head, that big soaring voice was the thing that stuck. So it kind of delights me that she's quietly become a real stage actor too, the kind who pulls down a serious theater award and makes you go, okay, "singer" doesn't cover it anymore. There's something genuinely cool about coming all the way from Brazil and building a whole performing life in a country with a different language and culture, you don't fake that kind of drive or warmth. Born in 1969, an Aquarius, all of 156cm, and yet I'd bet she's the biggest presence on any stage she steps onto. She reads sunny and easygoing but with real backbone underneath, the sort who turns hard knocks into a laugh and keeps moving. I'm a fan.
