My Take
What strikes me about Alessandro Gassmann is the rare double life he has built as both a respected actor and a director. Winning the Nastro d'Argento for supporting and then leading roles tells me he never coasted on a single register; he kept stretching. The festival nods from Cairo to Rome suggest a man valued by the industry rather than just the box office. I read him as a craftsman who chose substance over flash and then earned the right to step behind the camera. That arc, from dependable performer to storyteller, is the kind of career I quietly admire most.
