My Take

For me, Allelon Ruggiero will forever be Steven Meeks in Dead Poets Society. That film is a touchstone of the coming-of-age genre, and his earnest, quietly sensitive schoolboy lodged itself in my memory in a way many bigger roles never do. Born in 1971, he was young when he delivered that freshness, and decades on it hasn't dulled. I've always believed that a single role carved deep into people's hearts is proof of a real actor, more than a stack of credits ever could be. He still runs his own site and keeps creating, and I admire that steady, self-directed way of staying in the work.
