Amber Benson

Amber Benson will always be Tara to me, but reducing her to one beloved role does her a disservice. What impresses me is how thoroughly she took control of her own creative life, writing, directing, and producing her own features like Chance rather than waiting for the right part. That kind of authorship demands stubborn conviction, and she clearly has it. Coming out of Birmingham, Alabama and carving out a career as a true multi-hyphenate strikes me as the harder, braver path. I respect performers who build worlds instead of just inhabiting them, and Benson keeps choosing that route.
