Andra Martin

Andra Martin moves me as a figure from a vanished Hollywood. Born Sandra Rehn in Rockford, Illinois in 1935, she worked as a Warner Bros. contract player across television and film in the late 1950s and early 1960s before passing in 2022. I think the studio system's countless dependable players deserve to be remembered as much as its headline stars, because they were the connective tissue of an entire era of screen entertainment. Even without lasting top billing, she helped build the texture of that time, and that quiet contribution earns my lasting respect.
