André Hennicke

André Hennicke is the kind of actor I find quietly impressive -- more than a hundred films since 1984, the sort of relentless output that only comes from someone who genuinely loves the craft. Born in Johanngeorgenstadt in Saxony, he came up through the German industry and earned a German television award for best actor for Something to Remind Me in 2002, which tells me peers and critics took him seriously. He also writes, produces, and works the stage, so I read him as a true character actor's character actor. I'd happily dig into his filmography; that volume usually hides some real gems.
