My Take

I have a soft spot for performers who choose to teach, and Andre-Michel Schub is exactly that kind of figure. Being a fine classical pianist is one achievement; deciding to pour that craft back into the next generation is another order of generosity entirely. Born in Paris in 1952 and apparently schooled in New York, he strikes me as a musician shaped by two worlds, the European tradition and the American concert circuit.
