My Take
Andrew Scott is, to my mind, one of the finest actors working in English today. What I admire is his range of stillness: he can hold a stage alone or steal a scene with a glance, and the awards on both sides of that divide, an Olivier for the stage and a BAFTA for television, prove the versatility is real rather than hype. Dublin's theatre tradition clearly shaped him, and there is a craftsman's discipline underneath the charisma. I am drawn to performers who make quiet moments feel dangerous, and Scott does that better than almost anyone. Whatever he chooses next, I will be watching.
