Andry Rajoelina

Andry Rajoelina is one of those biographies that makes you do a double take: a former disc jockey who became president of Madagascar. From Antsirabe to the national stage, he rose through the 2009 crisis as one of the youngest leaders to run a country, and that sheer audacity is hard to ignore. I won't pretend to settle the debates around his rule, but the narrative arc, from the turntables to the helm of a nation, is genuinely cinematic. To me he's proof that unconventional paths to power exist across every era and continent, a figure impossible to look away from.
