My Take
Banda is the kind of player I quietly root for. Drafted in the tenth round out of San Jacinto College, he was never the can't-miss prospect, yet here he is, still pitching in the majors for the Twins. To me that persistence matters more than any flashy stat line. Coming out of Corpus Christi, bouncing between organizations, clinging to a big-league roster spot season after season, takes a stubbornness most fans never see. I admire the grinders who refuse to disappear, and a left-hander who keeps finding a way to stay on the mound earns my respect every time.
