My Take

Anushka Sharma interests me less as a movie star and more as a builder. Plenty of actresses dominated 2010s Bollywood, but very few used that capital to move into production in their twenties and back unconventional, female-driven stories. Her Filmfare and IIFA wins show the acting credentials, yet I think her real legacy will be the producer's chair, because she changed what a leading lady's career arc could look like in Hindi cinema. There is a Taurus-like steadiness to how she has managed fame, stepping back on her own terms rather than the industry's. That kind of self-possession is rarer than talent, and she clearly has both.
