Bea Priestley

Bea Priestley has the kind of grit I admire in wrestling. Competing as Blair Davenport in WWE and under her real name in Japan's Stardom, she has rebuilt herself across promotions and across continents. Women's wrestling looks glamorous but is a daily negotiation with pain and isolation, and crossing into a different language and culture while still commanding a crowd takes real conviction. As an English-New Zealander throwing down as a hard-hitter in Tokyo, she proves adaptability and toughness can travel. I have a lot of respect for performers who keep reinventing while never softening their edge.
