My Take
Bebe Rexha is the kind of artist I respect most: someone who mastered the craft behind the scenes before stepping into the spotlight. Co-writing for others, including Eminem's 'The Monster,' gave her an ear for hooks that most pop stars never develop. Her Berklee training shows in how comfortably she moves between dance, pop, and country without sounding like a tourist in any of them. There is grit beneath the polish in her voice, a working-class Brooklyn edge that keeps her from feeling manufactured. Writers who can also command a stage are rare, and that dual fluency is precisely why she lasts.
