Ben Youngs

Ben Youngs commands my respect for sheer endurance: 127 caps, England's all-time appearance record holder, all while loyal to Leicester Tigers. As a scrum-half he wasn't the flashy try-scorer but the heartbeat of the side, and surviving a decade-plus at international level in that role speaks to mental toughness as much as skill. I have a soft spot for one-club loyalty in modern sport, and his career embodies it. The record is eye-catching, but the substance is pure craftsman — exactly the kind of player who deserves to be remembered long after the final whistle.
