Bia

I have a soft spot for Bia's come-up. Emerging from a reality show, Sisterhood of Hip Hop, and turning that exposure into a real signing with Pharrell's I Am Other label shows she had more than camera presence. Television-born rappers tend to get dismissed, but she pushed past that skepticism on her own terms. Her flow carries a self-assured edge that refuses to undersell itself, and a title like Nice Girls Finish Last reveals a sharp, ironic streak. I respect artists who turn a doubted origin story into leverage, and the Medford native clearly did exactly that.
