My Take

What grabs me about BossMan Dlow is the sheer improbability of his origin story. He started rapping behind bars in a Florida county jail in 2019, and turned that confinement into a launchpad for the state's rap scene. I respect artists who treat a dead end as a starting line. Born in 1998 in tiny Port Salerno, he's still young and clearly hungry, and that combination of grit and momentum is exactly what makes a regional rapper worth watching.
