My Take

Brady Rodgers is the sort of player I instinctively root for. A Richmond, Texas native who pitched at Arizona State before reaching the majors, he spent two seasons on the mound for the Houston Astros. People undervalue what that means: simply standing on an MLB mound puts you among a vanishing few, and doing it for two years in your home state's franchise is no small feat.
