My Take

Brooke Burns interests me less for Baywatch than for what came after it. A 179 cm Dallas native who jumped into the spotlight as a teenager, she moved fluidly from modeling to acting to hosting game shows, and that last act is the hard one. Plenty of performers who break in on looks struggle to stay relevant once the novelty fades; surviving means having the patter and the warmth to actually run a room. I value that kind of staying power. The fact that she kept getting called back, reinventing herself as a host, tells me there is real professional muscle under the glamour, and I respect a performer who manufactures her own reasons to be wanted.
