Camryn Grimes

What strikes me about Camryn Grimes is endurance. Playing Cassie Newman on The Young and the Restless as a child from 1997, then returning to the same soap in 2014 as a new character, Mariah Copeland, and winning Daytime Emmys for both roles, is far harder than any single breakout moment suggests. I have a deep respect for performers who earn their place week after week, becoming a familiar, trusted face rather than a fleeting headline. That steadiness is its own kind of artistry, and it is frequently undervalued. To me, longevity in this industry signals craft, professionalism and genuine likeability, and Grimes seems to embody all three. I find myself rooting for the dependable players far more than the flashier ones.
