Cathy Leung

What fascinates me about Cathy Leung is the reinvention. Hong Kong-born, university-educated, she started as a Cantopop singer and TV hostess, then walked away to become a professional darts player on the Asian soft-tip circuit. That is not a casual pivot. Singing and competitive darts both demand nerve under a spotlight, and choosing the quieter, more grueling world of competition over showbiz tells me she values the contest itself more than the applause. I admire people who refuse to be boxed into one identity, and Leung's career reads like a deliberate rejection of the easy lane. I'd keep an eye on what she does next.
