Chandler Canterbury

Chandler Canterbury is described as a former child actor, and that phrasing always makes me pause. Born in 1998 in Houston, he came up working in film and television young, the kind of career that can burn bright and then quietly recede as the performer grows up. I find these stories more interesting than the ones that stay loud, honestly. He played the eight-year-old Benjamin Button, starred in Knowing and co-starred in The Host, and the trajectory of a Texas kid acting through childhood and then stepping back is a familiar, very human shape worth respecting.
