My Take

Snejana Onopka is, to me, one of the defining faces of late-2000s high fashion. Plucked from Severodonetsk in eastern Ukraine and almost instantly shot by Steven Meisel for Prada and two Vogue Italia covers, she embodied that era's appetite for sharp bones and cool, near-blank expressions.
