Cheng Xiao

Cheng Xiao is one of those performers who makes you stop scrolling the moment she appears on screen — the kind of dancer who turns a routine group performance into something you rewatch. She came up through the South Korean idol system as part of WJSN starting in 2016, which is no small feat for a Chinese trainee navigating a famously demanding industry, and she stood out almost immediately for her gymnastics-level flexibility and clean, expressive movement. Her pivot back to China around 2018 and eventual departure from WJSN in 2023 felt like the natural next chapter for someone whose charisma was always a bit too big for a twelve-member ensemble — and her solo acting and modeling work since then has proved the point.
