My Take

Chris Blackwell is one of those figures I find more fascinating than most of the artists he signed. Founding Island Records and being credited by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as the single person most responsible for turning the world on to reggae is an absurd legacy for one label boss. What strikes me is the breadth: record producer, composer, film producer, entrepreneur.
