My Take
Klein will always be Oz from American Pie to me, and that's both his gift and his trap. He rode the late-90s teen-comedy wave perfectly, debuting in Election and breaking out almost overnight, projecting a clean-cut Midwestern earnestness that suited those films. What I find interesting is the durability of that role; being invited back across the sequels years later signals genuine affection from audiences and collaborators. Heartthrob status fades fast, so I respect any actor who keeps getting the call. I've always suspected there's a more awkward, vulnerable performer hiding behind the easy charm, and that quieter side is the one I'd like to see more of.
