My Take
Chris Miller is one of those quietly versatile talents I keep rooting for. Directing Shrek the Third and Puss in Boots while also voicing the Magic Mirror and Kowalski tells me he understands comedy from every seat in the room: writing, storyboarding, animation, and performance. That full-stack instinct is rare, and it is exactly why his films land their jokes with such confidence. CalArts clearly sharpened a naturally inventive mind.
