My Take

Chuck Zito is one of those figures whose real life dwarfs anything a screenwriter could invent. A Bronx-born boxer, stuntman, bodyguard and a 25-year Hells Angels member, he didn't so much learn to play tough guys as walk in already being one. What I find compelling is the authority he carries on screen: it isn't acting bravado but lived experience leaking through the lens. Plenty of performers chase menace and never find it; Zito has the opposite problem, having to dial it down. I respect a man whose biography reads like a film, and who turned that hard-earned credibility into a genuine second act.
