My Take
Colleen Clinkenbeard is one of those behind-the-scenes figures who shaped how Western audiences experienced anime. As the English voice of Rachel Moore in Case Closed and a co-ADR director on Fullmetal Alchemist, she did the often invisible work of carrying a story's soul into another language. I find dubbing fascinating precisely because it is so underappreciated; done well, it can make or break how a foreign work lands. That she works as actor, director, and producer alike speaks to a deep, hands-on craft. People like her are the quiet infrastructure of a whole fandom, and they deserve more recognition.
