Cyril Montana

Cyril Montana, a French writer and journalist born on New Year's Eve 1969, carries a faintly novelistic detail in that birthday alone, slipping into the world right as the year expires. He's often noted as a former husband of the singer Anggun and father of their daughter, but honestly that biographical footnote interests me far less than his work as an author. What earns my respect is the vocation itself, the unglamorous labor of gathering other people's stories and making them last.
