Hiroshi Hase

Okay, this guy's life arc genuinely breaks my brain a little. Hiroshi Hase went from being an Olympic-level amateur wrestler to throwing down in the New Japan Pro-Wrestling ring, then somehow swapped the spandex for a suit and ended up deep in actual Japanese politics, cabinet-level and beyond. That's not a career, that's three careers stacked in a trench coat. What I respect most is the throughline I think I can see: a former teacher who clearly never stopped wanting to mold people, just on bigger and bigger stages. I always imagine that hard-nosed pro-wrestler presence quietly serving him in negotiation rooms, because you don't shake that off. From a small Toyama city to all of that? Honestly, the sheer range and stamina here earns my genuine, hat-off respect.
