My Take
D. J. Cotrona has a career arc I genuinely enjoy. He brawled his way through G.I. Joe: Retaliation, then took on Seth Gecko in the From Dusk Till Dawn series, a role with a cult film behind it. He also played Pedro's superhero form in Shazam! and dutifully returned for the sequel, which speaks to his reliability. His Northeastern University background hints at a thoughtful streak beneath the action-hero exterior. He's less a flashy leading man than a sturdy, committed actor who simply devours whatever part he's handed, and that's precisely why I've come to admire him.
